March 18, 2020

Hello 3rd grade Jedis! Please ask your parents to read this page with you!

I am sad that we cannot be together right now, but I hope you are all staying safe and healthy at home with your families! I am hoping you are taking time this week to do some of the practice activities that were sent home last week. I also hope you are reading, reading, reading! And of course, spending time doing some of the activities on our usual web links from our Class Page.

For the parents: If your children are having any trouble logging into any of the websites, or if they do not know their passwords for Google Classroom or any of our other class websites, please e-mail me and I will send those to you. Also, please let me know if you have any supply needs that I can help you with. We can figure out a plan to provide materials that you may need!

A bit of good news, due to the large number of students across the nation who are needing to be at schooled at home, the online reading library that we use, EPIC, is being offered to students for use at home for FREE!!!! This is usually about $6.99/month for home use so this is a great bargain! I will be sending an invitation to you, via e-mail  so that you can register your child for the at-home use. The kids love this program so they will be happy to sit and read when you tell them they can use EPIC!

During the week of Spring Break and the week after, I will update the blog every few days with additional activities and possibly assignments depending on what additional guidance we receive from our leadership both local and state-wide.

Together we can get through this unusual time and even find ways to make it fun!!!

For now are some fun things for the kids to do this week:

PS: If you have any suggestions for activities or topics you would like to see on the blog, leave me a comment or shoot me an e-mail!
